Fruit: bright red berries persist into winter
Flower: snow-white, showy flowers grow in clusters, late May/early June (just bloom for a little over a week!)
Fall color: orange/purple
Seasonal interest: leaf color emerges as red/purple, turns green, and then orange/purple in the fall; red berries in fall/winter
Sustaining wildlife: produces abundant berries that birds love, attracts large number of native bees for its nectar
